How to play SERENDIPITY – the rules of the game!

Serendipity is a game that can be played by two or more players. The aim of the game is to collect as many tokens as possible by making serendipitous connections.

To begin, each player draws seven cards and sets them aside, face down. The player who drew the highest card begins the game and play passes clockwise. On a player's turn they draw one card from the deck and play one. The following are the types of cards that can be played:

• A CONNECTOR CARD allows the player to connect two different sets of tokens by placing the card between them. The new set of tokens becomes part of the first set.

• A SYMBOL CARD dictates how a particular set of tokens can be connected. For example, a DREAMCATCHER SYMBOL would allow the player to connect two sets of tokens if they were adjacent to each other, regardless of type.

• A JOKER CARD can be used in place of any other card, with the exception of another JOKER CARD. If both players have no more cards in their hand, then they must each draw five cards from the deck and put them into their hand. Play then proceeds as normal with each playerdrawing one card per turn.

When all but one cards has been drawn from deck,the endgame starts .The last player left holding a card is out off game and looses all his/hertokens UNLESS he/she managed to connect any token with his/her lastcard( in this case he just loose one token) Last player left in game wins alltokens left on the table

Below are some examples of how Serendipity can be played:

Example 1: Player 1 has two sets of tokens – ONE WISHING WELL and TWO SEASHELLS. Player 2 has three sets of tokens – THREE BUTTERFLIES, TWO DOVEs and FOUR ROSES.

On Player 1's turn, they draw a card from the deck and play one. They discards EIGHT BALL which doesn't match any of their existing sets. Player 2 then takes their turn and plays ONE WISHING WELL which connects to PLAYER 1's ONE WISHING WELL set. PLAYER 1 now has THREE sets of tokens – ONE WISHING WELL, TWO SEASHELLS and THREE BUTTERFLIES.

Player 2 then plays TWO DOVES which connects to PLAYER 1's TWO SEASHELLS set. PLAYER 1 now has FIVE sets of tokens – ONE WISHING WELL, TWO SEASHELLS, THREE BUTTERFLIES, TWO DOVES, FOUR ROSES.

Player 2 then plays FOUR ROSES which connects to PLAYER 1's THREE BUTTERFLIES set. PLAYER 1 now has SIXTEEN tokens!

Example 2:Player 1 has two sets of tokens -ONE PENDANT and TWO KITTENS Player 2 has three sets if token -THREE CATS, TWO LAMBs AND FOUR BABY CARRIAGES .
